This project, which began as an internal initiative, grew by leaps and bounds. Telecom sought to create a platform to offer digital skills and democratize technological education, allowing those most in need to access it free of charge and from anywhere.
During my time as UX Lead at Telecom, along with my teammate, who also leads another project for the company, we were instrumental in the end-to-end development of this free digital training platform created by Telecom Argentina.
Our goal was to design an experience that would democratize access to technological knowledge, transforming an initial idea sketched on paper into a global initiative that ultimately garnered support from giants like AWS, Google, and Microsoft.
I led the entire platform design and construction process from the ground up. We developed the Design System, creating a consistent and adaptable visual language. We also conducted research, benchmarking, and metrics analysis with CrazyEgg and Google Analytics to understand and improve the user flow and experience.
From identifying audience needs and designing the visual and functional architecture to validating it with live testing, we approached each stage with a clear goal: to create an accessible, intuitive, and effective platform. We worked to create components and guides that would facilitate future expansion, always keeping scalability in mind.
We built it from scratch, integrating it with the cross-company design system, and developed a system of components and visual guides. This system helped make the platform scalable, consistent, and easy to maintain. We also developed the Storybook with the development team.
The palette was also designed to maintain good accessibility and legibility across different devices.
We selected modern, easy-to-read fonts that invited users to navigate effortlessly, making key information accessible to all audiences and contexts.
The result was a platform that, beyond being functional, generates a feeling of welcome and trust. Each visual element is designed to let the user know they are in a friendly, trustworthy, and professional space.
